Greetings Peace Makers!

We just wanted to let you know that our petition "Kick Arms Dealers out of NSW Schools" now has over 100 signatures - THANK YOU for being part of the first co-hort!

We also wanted to let you know that there is an opportunity to support this campaign at the Teachers' Federation Annual Conference in early July - spread the word!

One of our incredible Teachers for Peace has successfully passed a motion in his local association calling on the Department to amend the relevant policy - the same thing we are calling for in our petition! If the motion gets up at the annual conference, we could see this campaign get support from the Teacher's Federation on a national level - allowing us to expand beyond NSW into other states and territories. 

So, if you are a teacher attending the conference - please support our motion. It is currently motion number 10 from the Camden Haven Teachers Association on the list of motions from associations tabled for the conference.

If you are a teacher not attending the conference - please speak to your delegate about supporting the motion. We are happy to support you to approach them if you would like that. Contact us at teachersforpeace.org
