In this update, i will be telling just some of the stories about Dardono and situations she was in control of. In each story, i will not be naming any so it will be “student A, b, c” and so on. They will represent different students in each story.

Around Christmas, Student B was labeled as “homophobic” for not knowing a kid’s pronouns. This kid threw a bag at student b’s sister and got no punishment, but suspended Student b for being “homophobic”.

A few weeks ago, Student A tried to fight another student, but Dardono was trying to blame student C for the fight. She had asked the student who was assaulted who hit her, trying to say it was Student C other than student a. There were many witnesses to this incident.

At the beginning of the year, our gym teacher, let’s say Mr. B, was not letting us use the locker rooms. Me and other students constantly reported it because he was wanting us to use a different bathroom and not the one in the gym. His excuse was “there’s no female gym teachers” while a female gym teacher would literally be in her office. Student A wanted to change her shirt because it was hot and he say, and I quote “you can as long as I stand in the doorway”. We reported this to Dardono and she never said a word and never wrote it down.

Dardono has repeatedly said that she couldn’t do anything about the posts online about other students, especially if taken off campus. I have video evidence of her saying so. But will again, suspend me for a non threatening video about drama in school. Taken off of propriety, in my own bathroom and posted out of school hours.

Students have been marked tarty or absent while being called down to the office. They will have kids skipping classes and yet will question why grades and attendance are so low. Kids would rather be in the bathrooms all day than being in classes.

The punishments are not equal across the board at all. Student A got suspended for 5 days for trying to cause a fight, the same time has people getting caught smoking. Sometimes, some students would just get lunch detention for skipping classes while others would get suspended for X amount of days.

One day, me and two other students left gym early. Mr. B wrote us up and Dardono called me down first, giving me after school detention. She waited almost two days to call the other two down, giving them lunch detention. She waited until I came down to say something about it because I was not the only one gonna be punished.

“So what she did was I got called down to be searched, right, she’s telling me if I have anything. I said no, she tells me to take my hoodie off and I said no bc there was a male security guard, I had a crop top on under it. Then she calls my mom to come in and search me and  calls the cops due to my heart rate being at 159 due to anxiety” story from another Student

We sadly lost an important piece of Brockport a couple weeks ago and while some kids planned on making her a memorial on her locker the school told them no. kids decided to do it anyways because that’s what she deserved and the school proceeded to take down the memorial that kids created for someone very important to us. Teachers wanted the memorial, students wanted it but the admin forcefully took it down, not caring what it would do to others.

There are so many other stories about Dardono and so many other people who do want to sign the petition but are being threatened with suspension. The admin does not understand the difference between laziness and actually needing something.

So many students have given up on school and on learning because teachers and the staff will not meet their standards. We would report a teacher, not teaching us in the way that we needed. And Dardono word blatantly ignore our concerns about our education and say “you need to try hard harder” “ you need to do better” but doesn’t put in the effort to change teachers, talk to teachers, get us the help we need. She would blatantly ignore our concerns about teachers, classes, or our whole education.

We have the local paper getting involved, the news wants to hear what WE have to say about Brockport and its administration. We are being heard ever so slowly and it is working. Keep sharing, keep signing, keep it up. Don’t let the school threaten you with something they legally cannot do. Keep strong, and please keep going with this petition.
