This petition is not solely about myself. This petition is about everyone who has, is, and will be attending Brockport High School. It is about how Bonnie Dardono and other Administrators do not care about us students. I personally do not go out of my way to harass someone or leave rude comments. Bobbie suspended me for one video I posted about something that the school has not handled.
Like getting called names in the halls, getting talked about, stared at, threatened, posted about and being named. My video was not threatening, naming anyone, describing anyone nor hurting anyone. They tried to get another girl in trouble for what someone did.
The admin frequently lies to their students, parents and even their own staff. I was put on restricted passes because I was “skipping” my class because I was in the bathroom for not even ten minutes after being in the office. They gave me restricted passes but let ‘Student A’ be on her phone whenever she wanted, leave classes whenever she wanted, come back whenever she wanted. She would frequently meet up with her friends, not come back to class for the whole hour but I was the one skipping.
Bobbie told the staff to not reprimand her for any of it. But, if anyone else did it, they would get iss, oss, or lunch detention. My friend was suspended for standing up for her sister because a kid threw a bag at her. Did nothing about the kid who harmed her sister. If you are even in the bathrooms while people are getting caught, you would’ve most likely gotten searched along with them.
The school cares more about the our phones in schools more than the harassment, bullying, threats, slander, etc. They claim that they couldn’t do anything about it when I was reporting getting posted because it was “off school property and online” but they can suspend for a video that I made in my own home, not naming, not threatening.
The admin does not help you less you have them in your pocket. If you have any possibility of suing them, getting them shut down, they’ll do anything they can to keep that from happening. That means, overlooking issues, overlooking the main problem. All I care about is getting this issue fixed or even just heard. This is not against anyone in the school except Bobbie Dardono and the other administrators. It is pointing out the hypocrisy and lack of professionalism in Brockport High School.
I am currently studying for my GED and I have a job. I am making decisions for myself to help myself get ahead. The administration keeps trying to keep me from doing that by giving me new obstacles to jump through. I am 17 years old and shouldn’t have to call a grown adult out on her actions. I should be getting ready to get my life together but instead I am standing up for what is needed to be done.
