The temperature outside and the petition signatures have both cooled off. We cannot do anything about the weather but WE CAN heat up the petition again.
Have you personally asked your family, friends, teammates, coworkers and community to sign this? I’m sure have a safe community and asking the City of Kitchener to follow through is something everyone, in any area, would support.
We are not asking for anything new or anything outlandish. We would like what we were promised. It’s a key piece of infrastructure that is to provide, connection to the community school, community programs, shops, sports field, basketball nets and friends homes. It’s safe passage for active transportation users and a means to keep the traffic on Fairway Rd N flowing better.
This pedestrian bridge is part of the Grand River Community Plan for a reason. Developer fees were called out as the funding for this. The City of Kitchener’s mismanagement should not be our burden.
