On 16 April 2025, the matter came up for mention before the Magistrate at Court 1, Tinubu Magistrate Court. The Defendant was present in court.

The Prosecutor informed the Court that legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) is still pending and therefore requested an adjournment. The Court granted the request, and the matter has now been adjourned to 28 May 2025 for the DPP’s advice.
