Ever since 6th grade, everyone in my school has been required to have a school uniform, being a solid color or pattern polo along with khakis. Polos have always been uncomfortable for me, and I never have enough. There have already been multiple written petitions at my school for it, but they all get turned down. All I believe school uniforms do is pressure kids with low amounts of money who can't afford these strict outfit requirements, and I would like to stop it all together. Soon, I will start a national poll for this, and then maybe even global.

If we continue the outfit restrictions, it could cause stress on young school children, and could hurt their mental health or worsen their anxiety because of having to worry about yet another thing for school. If we all work together to change this, it could mean less stress on children and parents, less money having to be spent on clothes, and better emotions and feelings towards the school.

Throughout my years of school, the dress code has gotten stricter and stricter, and I have a feeling if we don't act as soon as possible, it might begin to be too far gone to stop. I just hope that we can get this done fast, so we can get out of our sweaty polos and khakis, and change into something more comfortable for the whole school day or 6-8 hours.
