San Diego pride festival recently announced Kehlani to headline their festival. Kehlani has a long history of violent antisemitism. She has openly supported the October 7th massacre in which over a thousand civilians were murdered including babies and elderly as well as 251 people kidnapped ranging from as young as 9 months old to as old as an 86 year old Holocaust survivor with 59 still remaining in captivity. The worst, that a music festival was shot up and many of the innocent people there just to listen to music were brutally killed, so having her headline a music festival here is not only disgusting but potentially dangerous. She has openly supported the recognized terrorist organization Hamas whom has that they want to kill every Jew in their charter. As well as saying phrases such as “long live the intifada” supporting the mass suicide bombings of grocery stores, pizza shops, busses etc. that caused mass civilian casualties the youngest being a nine hour old infant.

Pride is a place where everyone deserves to feel safe. It is supposed to be inclusive and celebrate queer people of all backgrounds. By having Kehlani headline, San Diego Pride is saying that Jews and Israelis are not welcomed at their festival. Nobody should feel unsafe simply because of their ethnicity or where they were born, especially at Pride.
