The Office of Governor Stein has responded

On June 1st, 2026, the office of North Carolina Governor Josh Stein responded to our email inquiry about the ECU Health-UnitedHealth dispute. In the response letter, the office stated that they would be referring our concerns to the NCDHHS and to expect a response from them soon. We are hopeful that this will be the start of an official, public response from the state's executive branch on healthcare access in eastern North Carolina and ensuring the safeguarding of healthcare access for those directly affected by UnitedHealth's decision.
