Hi, Everyone!

I wanted to express how grateful my neighbors and I am for your support and signatures!

Our local Birmingham news stations (WBRC Fox 6, CBS 42, Channel 13, and ABC 33/40) have all covered our story and are helping spread the word as well. 

Unfortunately, we do not appear in court again for another status hearing until June 3, 2025. In the time since our last hearing, rising temperatures and direct sunlight exposure has resulted in the temporary water tanks to grow algae blooms. We are working on getting the tanks cleaned and are requesting weekly testing to ensure the water is safe for continued exposure while bathing.

REGARDING DONTATIONS: I wanted to note how we are thankful for the donations collected to increase petition views; however, PLEASE make sure you were not set up for recurring, monthly auto payments. I wanted to be transparent that any donations DO NOT go to those without water, but to promoting the petition in hopes of getting more signatures. At this time, there has been about $280 dollars collected which has only gained 2 signatures. 

Your money and good intentions are very much appreciated, but please be aware of what your funds are going to. The residents are not asking for any donations at this time and there is no way for me, as the petition creator, to turn off the purchase option for views. 

Again, we really appreciate everyone's support, but please save your money! It is much more effective to share with people in your direct network and try to get more signatures that way. ANYONE from ANYWHERE can sign :)
