Ballylinan is a growing village with some 1300 residents according to most recent census. In the last few months a Pharmacy has opened. A permanent General Practitioner is now needed. There is a health centre with a permanent public health nurse. Previous GP has retired and patients are being transferred to a surgery with no lift access for those with limited mobility, some 8km away.
