Subject: Request for Additional Commencement Ceremony Due to Insufficient Ticket Availability

Dear University Commencement Committee,

We, the undersigned students, parents, and community members of Georgia Gwinnett College, respectfully submit this petition to request an additional commencement ceremony for the Spring 2025 class due to the insufficient number of tickets available.

As you are aware, commencement is a monumental occasion and a momentous milestone that represents years of hard work, perseverance, and dedication from us, our families, mentors, and everybody involved in making this milestone a reality. However, the majority of the graduating class have expressed concern that the limited number of tickets allocated (6 tickets per graduating senior) does not allow every graduate to have our loved ones present at this very important event.

While we appreciate the university’s efforts to organize the ceremony, the current allocation of tickets has left many of us in a difficult position, as we are unable to offer tickets to all the members who have supported us throughout our academic journey. The limitation on ticket distribution compromises our ability to celebrate this important achievement surrounded by the people who made this dream a reality.

In light of this, we respectfully request that the university consider hosting an additional commencement ceremony to accommodate the growing demand for tickets. We believe this solution would provide a more inclusive and meaningful experience for all graduates, allowing each student to celebrate with those who have contributed to their success.

We understand that hosting another ceremony may require additional resources, but trust that this effort is an investment in the well-being of the university’s graduating students that have worked very hard to get to this stage in our academic career.

We, the undersigned, kindly urge the administration to consider our request for an additional commencement ceremony. We are confident that such a measure will enhance the experience of our graduating class and contribute to the overall success of this significant occasion.

Thank you for your time and consideration. We look forward to your positive response and are happy to engage in further discussion on this matter if needed.

Sincerely,
Julian Santiago Ramon
