I had the honor of meeting Rita Cross, as a guest speaker, to our group meeting via Zoom. Rita successfully fought deer netting in Lakeway, TX and was so kind in sharing her experience, the ugly side of standing up to animal abuse, and a general support in how we might move forward. It is people like Rita who make all the difference in our world, she stood up to this barbaric and inhumane process even when it was hard to do so. 

Please see the link below for what has happened in Lakeway as it pertains to their population after a moratorium of deer netting being in place since 2018. The population of deer has stabilized with no intervention! Yes, we can live with deer without this barbaric practice!
