It is so important that those of us who are against deer netting are heard and that our dues are spent in a way we all feel are appropriate. I am working diligently to try to affect some change and certainly do not wish to upset anyone who feels differently. I will keep you posted when we hear from the parties we hope will listen. It's been a few years of trying to rally against this disgusting killing of our deer. We need answers to understand why $100,000 a year of our dues is being spent this way, why deer counts are not done by tagging or any other scientific measure of actual deer counts, and why new residents are invited to Wildlife Committee meetings that refuse to allow opposing views to killing/netting. I think anyone that watches video's of the deer screaming, heavily pregnant does (because this is allowed so close to when they give birth) lose their babies, drag and cut off the antlers of bucks, frighten these animals so they urinate and defecate from fright; tell me does that sound like the deer aren't being hurt? Our opinion is that it is inhumane and needs to stop. Not one other HOA in Williamson County nets deer, why the heck should we pay for this when we cull we just make space for neighboring community deer to come to Sun City. Nature is smart, if there aren't enough resources they don't have as many babies and move on to "greener pastures". Shouldn't we allow nature to work the way it is supposed to?
