Nothing that George Santos (R-NY) told the voters in NY's 3rd Congressional District, which covers parts of Queens and Nassau counties, about himself was the truth. It was more than just "embellishing a résumé" -- it was outright fraud. It was not just one little white lie. It was an entire campaign built on nothing but lies.  

He never worked at Goldman Sachs or Citigroup. The only job anyone can actually prove Santos held was as a customer service representative at a call center for Dish Network in College Point, Queens. 

George Santos told a former coworker named Barbara Hurdas that he was born in Brazil. He claims to hold dual citizenship in Brazil and the United States. Can he even prove that he is an American citizen, eligible to serve in Congress?

He never graduated from ANY college, much less earning a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Economics at Baruch College or an MBA at NYU. In fact, he is a high school drop-out who only ever earned a GED.

The animal welfare charity he claims to have founded, Friends of Pets United, does not exist. The fake charity held a fundraiser event for a real animal rescue charity in  New Jersey in 2017 -- but that charity never received the proceeds. Where did the money go?

He claims he lost 4 employees in the Pulse LGBTQ nightclub mass shooting in Orlando, FL in 2016. No one who died at the Pulse nightclub had any known connection to George Santos.

He is Catholic, not Jewish -- and his mother's family from Belgium were not "survivors of the Holocaust." It's difficult to say what is more antisemitic -- calling himself "Jew-ish" or perpetrating a hoax about the Holocaust.  

He claims to be a wealthy corporate financier who owns mansions on Tiffany Lane in Oyster Bay, NY and Dune Road the Hamptons. There are no records of Santos owning any New York real estate holdings. According to the NYC Courts, Santos was evicted TWICE in the past 5 years from rented apartments in Queens for non-payment of rent.

According to prosecutors in Rio de Janeiro, George Santos is currently a wanted criminal in Brazil. His late mother (who died in 2016) was a home healthcare nurse there. But Santos falsely claimed his mother was "the first female executive at a major financial institution" and that she died in the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center. Santos is accused of stealing checkbooks from his mother's elderly, homebound patients and forging checks from their bank accounts to steal merchandise. He faces charges of embezzlement, elder fraud, and check forgery in Brazil. He had previously confessed to the charges in Brazil, but now denies them.

Even his FEC filings appear to be a massive scam. In 2020, Santos declared his net worth to be $5,000. But then he made a $600,000 loan to his own campaign a few months later. He lost the 2020 election to incumbent Congressman Tom Suozzi (D-NY). Now, in 2022, he mysteriously claims to be worth $11-Million.

Lying on a federal financial disclosure form is a federal felony, with each violation punishable by up to 5 years in federal prison.  

A recent report in The Daily Beast highlighted how Santos took $56,000 from a Russian operative named Andrew Intrater, who just happens to be a cousin of Putin's pal Viktor Vekselberg, an oligarch who is under international sanctions as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. (The U.S. sanctioned him as early as 2018, related to Russia's invasion and annexation of Crimea.)  

George Santos attended former President Donald Trump's "Stop The Steal" rally in Washington DC on January 6, 2021. Santos claims he was "never on Capitol grounds" but he was later caught on video stating that he had written a "nice check" to help bail out insurrectionists who were arrested that day. As to his reasons for providing aid and comfort to these felons who attacked Congress, Santos said, "Imagine breaking into your own house and being charged for trespassing."

The bottom line is, George Santos (often called "George Scamtos" by New York voters who were deceived by him) is a pathological liar and an international con artist. He has made a career out of fooling gullible wealthy people into giving him money... and now he has conned his way into the U.S Congress.

Unlike 18 other states, New York does not have a recall system to remove elected officials, therefore, there are only two ways to prevent Santos from being sworn in on January 3, 2023:  
* he is arrested for fraud  
* he resigns

We The People of the United States of America hereby demand the immediate resignation of George Santos, or that he be criminally charged under 18 U.S. Code § 371 for Fraud. 

He cannot be allowed to make a mockery of our great country by taking the Oath of Office or being seated in the 118th Congress under false pretenses.
