Hello all 320,088 of you amazing people!

Here are TWO pieces of news to brighten your Saturday:

The Scottish government have just launched a new £5.2M period poverty scheme to ensure ALL students and pupils across Scotland receive FREE period products. They will arm every school, college and university in the country with tampons and sanitary pads which the government have said is aimed at “banishing the scourge of period poverty” among pupils and students! You can read more about it on the BBC website here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-45295743

As if that wasn’t enough to secure an amazing weekend, online fashion website ASOS have today announced the introduction of The Kujuwa Initiative (translates: The Knowledge Initiative), created to support young women in the Kasigua region of Kenya. This programme will provide health education for young women who are forced to miss out on their education because they cannot access period products. Have a lovely weekend,

Laura :)
