India axes #TamponTax! BOOM

Happy Sunday, amazing campaigners! We have some great news from India this morning. Indian Finance Minister Piyush Goyal axed the country’s 12% tampon tax! Goyal says that period products are “now 100% exempt from tax” and that the government is happy to see the end of what was dubbed the “blood tax”. BOOM! Period products will now be more affordable, while the period taboo has been slayed alongside this tax which unfairly penalises women. Period! Have a lovely week, Laura :)
