Hello amazing activists!! Online petitions are changing the world - you know that more than most! But you might be surprised to find out that these changes are actually mainly thanks to women. Some pretty interesting figures have shown that females rule the internet. Not only do women account for a huge proportion of campaign signatories (70%) but we start, organise and lead the majority of successful petitions, too. That legacy is not only impressive. It’s also really important. It demonstrates the extent to which women have been held back by the traditional political system, and our resilience to marginalisation. We have created a new activist space in which to thrive. Here, we kick ass. Period. That's definitely something that needs to be celebrated :) Laura xx
