Hello all 224,742 of you!! I have some really exciting news to share with you all. 18 hours ago, Nicola Sturgeon revealed the Scottish National Party manifesto of 2015 (see below). On page 23, the party made a commitment to ensuring "a fairer deal for women, not only in the work place. That’s why we’ll address a longstanding failure in our tax system by demanding that VAT on sanitary products is removed. Sanitary products are a necessity, not a luxury, and should not be taxed." That's the third major political party to make a concrete commitment to ending sanitary tax over the past few weeks - high fives all around!
