I write this petition as someone who holds the Youtuber and educator, MatPat, in high regard. MatPat, the creator of YouTube channels such as "The Game Theorists", "The Film Theorists", and "The Food Theorists", has greatly inspired me and so many others with his engaging, informative, and entertaining content.

MatPat's unique ethos of making learning fun and accessible to people of all ages has resulted in his channels accumulating over 27.4 million subscribers (as per statistics accumulated by Social Blade). These figures demonstrate his powerful influence and the positive impact he has had on an international scale.

It is this inspiration, engagement, and positivity we seek to bring into our school, George H. Moody Middle school. We believe that changing our school mascot to MatPat will serve several key purposes. Firstly, it would represent our collective admiration for the educational values he embodies. Secondly, it would symbolize our commitment as a school to embrace learning in fun, innovative and accessible ways, reflecting the manner in which MatPat engages with his vast audience.

Therefore, I urge the decision-makers at George H. Moody Middle School to seriously consider our proposal. A mascot should not just be a symbol; it should resonate with students and represent our aspirations and values. Help us make an impact in our school by standing together and pushing for this change.
