Meat Labeling Petition approaching 3500

Thanks to all who signed and shared this petition, it is continuing to increase it's impetus and gain more signatures. However some people have not signed because they feel these practices should be banned in the UK, altogether. I cannot disagree with that. However the government have said they will not ban it, so there are a lot of people left in a situation where they are eating it unknowingly. Clear marking of meat produced in this way would mean that the British public could avoid eating it, if they choose. Since the percentage of the population demanding it, for religious purposes, is very small, this would effectively reduce the production to a tiny number of abattoirs carrying out this practice. Bit like the horse meat thing, the other year, if I know it contains horse meat I can choose to eat it, or not. If I'm not informed then it's blatant deception on the part of the producers.
