Subject: Request for Support: Peaceful Protest against Vagrancy and Drug Trafficking
Dear Community Members,
We hope this letter finds you well. We are reaching out to express our concerns regarding the high levels of vagrancy and drug trafficking in our community. In response, we have organized a peaceful protest to address these issues. We kindly request your support and participation in this important endeavor.
The protest will commence at the vacant shopping center located at Admiral & Memorial and will continue to the shopping center at Admiral & Sheridan. We will be walking back and forth with signs, demanding that the City, County, and Federal Government, along with businesses and residents, unite in their efforts to combat these challenges.
One of our primary goals is to ensure that businesses take vital steps to prevent vagrants from occupying their properties. We urge all business owners to file a No Trespassing order on their premises, effectively discouraging individuals from squatting in parking lots and causing disturbance.
Additionally, we believe it is crucial for the Keetowah Band of the Cherokee Nation to take immediate action by demolishing the Galaxy Warehouse. This step will significantly contribute to reducing criminal activities associated with the location.
To maintain a safe environment, we also emphasize the importance of having a consistent police presence in our community. We request that law enforcement authorities increase their vigilance and take proactive measures to control crime effectively.
We kindly ask for your support by leaving a response in the comments section or by texting us at 539-525-5917 to indicate your willingness to join our protest. Your participation will make a significant difference in raising awareness and putting pressure on local authorities and businesses to take the necessary actions to improve the situation.
Your commitment to our community's safety and well-being is greatly appreciated. Together, we can create a positive change and ensure that our community thrives. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely
Joanna Ligon
