Usage of AI in classrooms, specifically in the creative field is occurring increasingly often. Unfortunately, authority figures are not taking action on this matter, and many are in fact, contributing to the problem. If you are a student at LCS, you can probably think of many examples of this. Our hallways often showcase AI generated posters, and even our chapel sessions have AI generated videos shown on the slideshows.

Sadly, this is a topic people are not as educated on as they should be, especially if you are using AI and are unaware of the environmental consequences.

Many studies show the inhumane amount of CLEAN water usage by AI to cool down data centres. This petition is my attempt to show our school’s authority figures just how many people actually care about our planet and the abuse of AI’s impact on it. Hopefully they will take action on the matter.
