I had been waiting for substantial repairs to my home-flat for years. When I paid for  the shared freehold (FH) in 2010, I thought this would happen very soon. Instead I did not get the lease upgraded with the FH purchase nor the share. The current law permits this scam to happen if people do not want to care for necessary and proper repairs at your individual level and you disagree as you should be entitled to.

I set up a ‘right to manage company’ so that all the leaseholders of the flats within the property could have control of their own repairs.  A unanimous vote was integrated to protect each individual  in their own home. However, without my knowledge that company was transformed as a company for business instead.  So the benefits from "right to manage company" were removed and the faulty management we had for years was kept. To this day it still manages at great expense our house, having denied to me the proper repairs of known disrepairs from 1996 and the recognition of the damages done to my flat from 2014. 

I have suffered serious  damage to my flat as a result of extensive and major work being done to the property above mine, dismissing my flat existence. For a better understanding of the lack of precaution and thoughts in converting a one-household house into individual flats-home in the first instance, the owner of the flat above cannot access his flat without going via a space from my own flat, allocated to him, with no real separation.  

The damages to my flat home from the building work above have never been recognised, instead dismissed and I am still waiting having done some repairs

The latest problem is another flooding and the insurance is through the management.  As per the last 26 y I will never  have the possibility to free myself .

I want to stand up for myself before the lawmakers and ask them to amend the law so that leaseholders are not compromised in the way that I have been.

This is my last attempt to get justice for myself and for thousands of people who may innocently end up being victims of a law which isn’t on the side of ordinary people.
