As we all know how doctor shortage in the NHS is causing the healthcare system to suffer unnecessarily. We say unnecessarily as there are many international graduates who are more than willing to take the PLAB exam so that they can obtain GMC registration and work in the UK. By limiting the availability of seats, it makes it that much longer before these eager doctors can join the NHS workforce, keeping the UK under a strain, especially during winter pressures.

It is for this reason we humbly request due consideration on the part of General Medical Council (UK) to increase PLAB seats availability throughout the world, making it easy for thousands of eager International Medical Graduates to get a chance to work as doctor in the UK.
