This afternoon, Ofqual announced that teacher-assessed grades (or moderated grades, whichever is the higher) will be given to A, AS and GCSEs students in England this summer. This is exactly what this petition set out to achieve and I'm really thrilled that this kind of pressure has helped achieve it.  THANK YOU TO EVERYONE - almost 26,000 people - WHO SIGNED THIS PETITION.

Roger Taylor, Chair of Ofqual said he would like to say sorry for what "has not been an acceptable experience for young people."  It has been absolutely awful for some people, especially A Level students, for whom I hope university places etc are still available.
