Today we took this petition to Westminster and handed it in at The Department for Communities and Local Government. A representative for the Housing Minister came to collect it. We were joined by representatives from Shelter and the Liberal Democrats, including Baroness Olly Grender and South London MP Tom Brake. We know that it will take more than banning letting agency fees to solve the housing crisis. However, we hope that drawing attention to the nonsensical injustice of this particular issue will go some way towards making Government aware that the private rental sector is broken, it doesn't work for any of us.
