We have heard today from the first meeting of the Community Reference Group that our best chance to have the Gascoigne Estate excluded from the Caulfield Activity Centre is to send an email to the Dept of Transport stating that:

“The Gascoigne Estate and its heritage area should be excluded from the inner and outer catchment area of the Caulfield Activity Centre. The southern part of the Gascoigne is as critical to the community neighbourhood heritage, look and feel as the northern part and should be left intact for future generations of Victorians. Dandenong Rd should be the boundary of the catchment and Dandenong Rd and the immediate surround of Caulfield Station should be the development area.” - or something similar in your own words.

Your email should be headed “Gascoigne Estate to be removed from Caulfield Activity Centre”, or something similar and sent to:

activity.centres@transport.vic.gov.au

Feedback to the Dept of Transport closes tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon. This is therefore our last chance to save the Gascoigne Estate.
