Hi everyone, Thanks to everyone who participated in the call in and social media actions targeting Gap Inc. last month! As the weather heats up and Gap Inc. owned stores like Intermix start taking fur off the shelves, we need to make sure that they don’t think we will stop pressuring them to commit to a 100% fur free policy! Today, Gap Inc will be holding its annual shareholder’s meeting in San Francisco, and this is the perfect opportunity to let them know exactly why we want to see a company-wide fur free policy. TWITTER ACTION: Please tweet at Gap Inc using their stock ticker $GPS ----> http://ctt.ec/N4n9t CALL-IN ACTION: Please call Gap Inc.’s headquarters at 650-952-4400, reach the operator, and ask Gap Inc to stop selling fur. Here is a sample script: ““Hello. My name is XXXX, and I am calling to encourage Gap Inc and its shareholders to listen to me and over 200,000 other consumers when we say we want Gap Inc to adopt a company wide fur free policy. There is no financial stability in animal cruelty and Gap Inc should commit to stop making money from fur. I am disappointed to hear that some of Gap Inc’s stores including Intermix still sell fur from animals who are beaten and electrocuted for the items. In the past, I have shopped at your stores, such as XXXX and XXXX, and this should not still be an issue in 2015. Please commit to a company-wide fur free policy for the benefit of consumers and animals. Thank you.”
