We NEED YOU to attend the Erie County Council Meeting tomorrow, 2/27/24 at 6 PM at the Erie County Courthouse on W. 6th Street.

Come and tell council and everyone in attendance and those watching on zoom that you want County Council and Gannon to rescind the lease at the Blasco Public Library!

New voices need to be added to support the many people who have been working hard to ensure that the space, that belongs to the public for their computer lab, meeting rooms, and library staff offices, is not turned into a research lab for Gannon University, a private religious college. 

Taxpayer money is being wasted to tear down walls and build new ones and for a research lab that is not necessary for project NePTWNE to succeed. Research labs all over the Great Lakes, that are not located on the water, have been doing research successfully for years.

If Gannon were serious about doing water research they would abandon their dream of having waterfront space and use that money for actual research to solve water problems! Instead they refuse to listen to the thousands of Erie residents and Gannon Alumni who have been asking for months to KEEP OUR LIBRARY PUBLIC!
