triple j “Hottest 100 2017” toppers Gang of Youths just announced a huge run of Australian dates for their Say Yes To Life 2018 tour. 

In the first day of sales, highlights included 5 SOLD OUT Forum Theatre shows, 5 SOLD OUT Enmore Theatre shows, and several other sold out shows across the country.

Today (Thurs 7th June), they announced another two Forum Theatre shows, and according to gangofyouths.com, one of those was U18. We bought tickets, but later found out that indeed the show was NOT allowing entry to under 18s.

Unfortunately for us Under 18 people, and due to liquor licensing laws and venue restrictions, they haven’t Said Yes to Us.

Quotes attributable to GOY fans include “is it possible for you guys to play an all ages show in melbourne” (sic), “Where the heck is the all ages in Melbs? Your (sic) doing 5 in Melbourne and none under 18”, and “Disappointed boys, disappointed.”.

It has become increasingly clear that Under 18 music fans in Melbourne love Gang of Youths, and we feel that there are several fitting, potentially available locations in Melbourne to host an under 18 concert.
