Perry/Clemons GRU Governance bill passes in Tallahassee

Despite hearing opposition from hundreds of local residents and elected officials, Tallahassee politicians struck another blow against local governance this week. Keith Perry and Chuck Clemons are forcing a community-wide referendum in next year's ballot on their deeply flawed and unaccountable GRU Governance plan. Gainesville voters will now likely be subjected to a misinformation campaign by the Chamber of Commerce, the primary sponsors of this initiative. It's important that we mount a strong campaign to "Vote No" on this ballot measure so that we can maintain community control of this important City-owned asset.
