The vote is Wed., April 28 - please let your opinion be heard

The Gainesville City Commission will vote this Wednesday, April 28th at 6 p.m. It is imperative that as many people as possible tell the commissioners why they do not support the rezoning of St. Michael's to include a drive-thru. Here are some ways you can be heard.
SEND EMAILS OR MAKE CALLS IN ADVANCE OF MEETING. Many of you have already contacted the commission, but we need to flood the commission with emails and phone calls. PLEASE ask your neighbors, friends, family or other concerned citizens to send an email to citycomm@cityofgainesville.org or to call 352-334-5015 (option 1) and leave a message.
ATTEND THE MEETING IN PERSON. Anyone can participate in the meeting by attending in person or on the phone. Commissioners have indicated they do take note of how many supporters actually attend in person. We are hoping to get as many people as possible to attend in person. If you can't attend in person, you can also call in
COMMENT BY PHONE DURING THE MEETING. Dial the Toll-Free Number: 1(800) 876-7516. A moderator will call on you when it is your turn to speak. Please mute the sound on your computer/devise if you are watching the meeting online. State your name clearly for the record. Each speaker will have three minutes to comment.
We have submitted this petition and your comments to the commissioners and will continue to provide them updates. We are in the home stretch now and want to thank everyone for their continued support.
