Son günlerde gerçekleşen patlamalar ve can kayıpları dolayısıyla tüm halkımız gibi üniversite öğrencileri de son derece tedirgin durumdadır.

Özellikle İstanbul Üniversitesi'nin konumu itibarıyla İstanbul'daki en riskli bölgelerden birinde olması dolayısıyla, değil okula gelmek, bakkala bile gitmeye korkar hale gelmiş olan insanlardan, özelilikle de bombalamaların devam edeceğinin bombalamaları üstlenenler tarafından açıkça beyan edildiği bu ortamda sınavlar için okula gelmelerini beklemek, en hafif tabirle öğrencilerin can güvenliğine karşı umursamaz bir tavırdır.

Bu sebepten dolayı, İstanbul Üniversitesi başta olmak üzere, İstanbul'da "Yüksek Risk" bölgesi kabul edilen bölgelerde bulunan kampüslerde 21-27 Mart 2016 haftası yapılacak vizelerin ertelenmesini talep ediyoruz.

The explosions and subsequent deaths over the last few days caused serious worry and fear among university students, as it did for all our people.

Since Istanbul University is located in one of the highest risk regions in Istanbul, asking students who fear going out for groceries (let alone going to school), to attend their exams during these days (days in which the alleged perpetrators of the bombings openly announced that the bombings will continue, by the way) is at least a manifestation of reckless disregard for the students' lives.

Thus, we kindly request that the exams that will be held in campuses located in "High Risk" areas, including primarily the Istanbul University’s campuses, during the week of March 21-27, 2016 to be postponed.
