The Issue

Hey there! We're Team Blurryface, and we are an aspiring independent film and TV show company responsible for teen and young-adult-led content, expanding into a full-fledged business.

Over 30 people have taken an interest in the production of Gardenview Protocol, a live-action 2D and 3D animation hybrid TV show adapted from the Roblox game Dandy's World, and follows Dandy and his friends as teens navigating identity, trauma, and the struggle to reclaim one's story in a world designed to erase and wreck one mentally, physically, emotionally, and psychologically. Set in a fictitious dystopian version of Alpheretta, these teens get institutionalized by Dr. Arthur Walton III and his colleagues in an elaborate high-end stadium in Atlanta while finding out they are the human vessels of long-forgotten toon prototypes. These toons were cryogenically sealed after a failed military experiment called Project Gardenview.

As an Atlanta-based indie film company aspiring to hire as many people as we can, our purpose is to turn bold, risk-taking ideas into grounded, yet raw and authentic cinematic storytelling that impacts the audience in unique ways. Being a much-needed production from all the performative nonsense we, as Gen Zers, have seen on countless different TV shows and movies starring teenage characters, it is our commitment to make something real, realistic, and revolutionary, a project that redefines representation and authetjicty to young voices, and gives voice to underrepresented creators and characters while focusing on ethical casting, fair pay, and on-set mental health support.

To make this vision a reality, we’re raising funds to cover up to $30,000 to create a suitable 15 to 20-minute pilot episode:

Budget breakdown for Pilot Episode (approx)

  • Equipment & sound (camera rental, lenses, lights, mics) — $4,500
  • VFX & animation (1–2 short hybrid shots, title cards, compositor) — $4,000
  • Original score/temp music (composer + 1 session) — $2,000
  • Website / social / promo (one-page site, trailer & graphics) — $1,500
  • Casting & talent (small stipend/meals/travel for 6 actors) — $2,500
  • On-set mental health consultant (PT) — $800
  • Outreach / legal / clearances/permits (small) — $1,200
  • Production crew pay & meals (3–5 days) — $5,000
  • Post-production (editor, color, sound mix) — $2,500
  • Insurance & misc (transport, props, wardrobe) — $1,000
  • Contingency (15%) — $3,000

Crew size & core roles (lean, multi-tasking):

  • Director/showrunner (Samy Rodriguez and a few others if applicable)
  • Executive Producer (min. 1, max 7)
  • Producer / AD (min. 1, max 12)
  • DP / camera op (1–3)
  • Sound recordist (1)
  • Gaffer/grip (1–3)
  • Editor (1)
  • VFX/animation contractor (1–4)
  • Composer (1)
  • 10 - 15 cast (teens)
  • On-set mental health consultant (part-time)
  • Timeline to deliver: 6–12 weeks (prep 2–3 weeks, shoot 2–3 days, post 3–6 weeks)                                                                                                                                                                                                          Why this works: Low cost, high impact — enough to sell tone, visuals, and your vision to funders or a studio.

Although this is my first time in the film industry, with no prior film experience, Gardenview Protocol will help make a lasting impact for the world to see. Any donations or signatures are greatly appreciated and will help revolutionize TV history as a whole.

If you want stories that speak the truth, condemn corruption, and empower young voices, your support will make a lasting impact on something incredible: a rallying cry for a unique kind of storytelling.

Join us. Donate, share, and take part in the revolution that will alter the TV industry as we know it and how current-day media views teens.

We will also consiestantly add updates and/or additional information to inform our supporters of something urgent or official sources regarding the production of Gardenview Protocol.

Every contribution counts — and so does your belief in what we can build together.
