Fund new parks and youth programs for Wooddale in East Stroudsburg

The Issue

Growing up in the Wooddale area of East Stroudsburg has its charm, surrounded by nature and the tranquility of the woods. However, the absence of essential amenities like safe sidewalks, parks for children, youth activity centers, and a community swimming pool leaves us without places to gather, learn, or play.

The roads in Wooddale are rough, and all we see around are trees, with very few opportunities for young people to congregate, socialize, or engage in physical activities. As a teenager myself, I often find myself longing for a safe and stimulating environment where kids can hang out together, make friends, and build lasting memories.

Creating parks and youth programs in Wooddale would not only make it a more attractive place to live but also foster a sense of community and belonging. It can boost mental and physical well-being by providing spaces where children can explore, learn, and grow. While it’s true that Wooddale is meant to be a nature-focused community, we can achieve a balance where the environment remains part of our identity, while still offering the amenities that support vibrant community life.

Investing in our community by funding new parks and youth programs is an investment in the future of Wooddale. By providing these spaces and opportunities, we encourage families to stay, grow, and thrive here. It will draw more families to the area, enhancing its vibrancy and creating stronger community bonds.

Let's call upon our local authorities and those with decision-making power in East Stroudsburg to allocate necessary funds to develop safe sidewalks, new parks, youth centers, and swimming facilities in Wooddale. Your support in asking for these changes can help transform our area into a dynamic, lively, and safe place for everyone.

Please sign this petition to make Wooddale a better home for our children and future generations.
