Over the last three years, the Healthy Opportunities Pilot (HOP) has helped improve the health of more than 35,000 people while also reducing health care costs. 

In addition, program evaluations show that HOP strengthens local economies and has created good paying rural jobs.

Without new funding, however, the state’s three-year investment will be lost along with hundreds of millions in federal matching funds. 

The result: millions of dollars will be pulled out of rural districts. Emergency department and hospital visits will spike, health care costs will rise and the health of thousands of people will be at risk.

Please, before the legislature’s summer recess, provide funding to keep this important program working in our communities.
