But this is just the beginning. We have a few signatures. We have the petition submitted to parliament. but we have not won. Our next steps are to write to our local MPs and write to the Arts Minister Tony Burke. A petition is not enough. With the help of the Professional Historians Association (https://www.phavic.org.au/), I am writing some pro forma letters to send to my MP and Tony Burke.
