We have passed the 1500 signature mark! How awesome is that? Thank you to each one of you! The latest is that our bill in support of APRN's getting full practice authority will be going before the subcommittee's in TN Senate and House of Representatives this Tuesday, 3/10/15. Once I get this date confirmed, I will let everyone know because it would be awesome to have as many people present at Capital Hill in Nashville. So time is of the essence because our bill has to get the majority vote to continue any further. There has also been talk about APRN's over prescribing pain medications and that is why physician's are against our bill and APRN's getting full practice authority. What appears to be the issue is the data is skewed because any APRN that works at a pain clinic will have their name listed in the TN Controlled Database Monitoring System even though the collaborating physician signed off agreeing with the plan of care. Please keep sharing the petition and getting our voices heard that APRN's deserve full practice authority so we will be able to take care of our patients to the full ability of our education!
