As the Colorado Legislature enters its six-month interim break, we are preparing for the 2027 legislative session — and now is the time to begin building support.
The Full Disclosure Act will soon be seeking a legislative sponsor in Colorado.
Our message is simple:
If a public official, judge, law enforcement officer, regulator, arbitrator, or government employee belongs to a private affiliation that may create undisclosed influence over public duties, that affiliation should be disclosed to the public.
This is not anti-association.
This is pro-transparency.
The Full Disclosure Act aligns with:
• Ethics Laws
• Sunshine Laws
• Conflict-of-Interest Principles
• The Public’s Right to Know
Even Great Britain’s High Court recently ruled that Metropolitan Police officers may be required to disclose Freemason or fraternal affiliations in the interest of public accountability and trust.
We are asking supporters across Colorado to respectfully email legislators during the offseason and encourage them to consider sponsoring or discussing the Full Disclosure Act for the 2027 session.

Full Disclosure Act - Seeking Legislative Sponsor for the 2027 Session
Dear Members of the Colorado Legislature,
As the Colorado Legislature enters its interim break, I wanted to respectfully introduce an issue that I believe deserves thoughtful discussion heading into the 2027 legislative session.
Upon your return, the Full Disclosure Act will be seeking a legislative sponsor in Colorado. During the offseason, I would welcome the opportunity to speak with interested legislators to further refine and polish the proposal in a constructive and bipartisan manner.
The concept is simple:
When individuals serving in positions of public trust hold undisclosed affiliations that may create undisclosed influence, those affiliations should be transparently disclosed to the public.
This principle is not radical or new. It aligns with longstanding Ethics Laws, Sunshine Laws, conflict-of-interest standards, freedom of information. and the foundational principle that transparency is essential to public confidence in government.
Recently, the High Court in Great Britain affirmed this growing international concern by recognizing that Metropolitan Police officers may be required to disclose membership in Freemasonry or similar fraternal organizations where questions of public accountability and institutional influence arise.
The Full Disclosure Act is not about attacking lawful associations or private beliefs. It is about transparency where public power and undisclosed affiliations intersect.
There can be no true liberty without transparency, and no lasting public trust where secrecy shields potential influence from public view.
I appreciate your service to the people of Colorado and would welcome respectful dialogue with any legislator interested in helping shape this proposal for the 2027 session.
