*Subject:* Global Ban on All Forms of Commercial Sex (including Independent Adult Sex Work Legal in 50-54 Countries) - Appeal Based on Sanatan Dharma and Human Dignity

*Respected United Nations Human Rights and UNODC,*

I, Yogesh Manjramkar from Parbhani 431401, India, write as a global citizen concerned about legal prostitution worldwide.

As of 2026, independent adult sex work without pimps or brothels is legal or decriminalized in approx. 50-54 countries under models like Decriminalization (New Zealand, Germany, Netherlands, Australia - NSW) and Abolitionism where selling is legal.

I appeal for a global ban based on Sanatan Dharma Shastra:

*1. Manusmriti 3.56 - Respect for Women:*

_Yatra naryastu pujyante ramante tatra devatah, yatraitaistu na pujyante sarvastatraphalah kriyah_

*Meaning:* Where women are worshipped, there gods reside. Where a woman is treated as an object of enjoyment, even with consent, all actions become fruitless. In independent sex work, woman is not worshipped, she is made a commodity.

*2. Manusmriti 3.59:*

Woman is Lakshmi of the house. Making her a market commodity is Adharma.

*3. Bhagavad Gita 16.21 - Lust is the Door to Hell:*

_Tri-vidham narakasyedam dvaram nashanam atmanah, kamah krodhas tatha lobhas tasmad etat trayam tyajet_

*Meaning:* Lust, anger, and greed are three doors to hell. When the government itself makes lust a legal business (like in Germany), it takes the whole society to the door of hell.

*4. Gita 3.37:*

Lust is the enemy and cause of sin. Making it a legal job is making sin a job.

*My Request:*

a) UN should bring a global convention to ban commercial sex in those 50-54 countries.

b) Provide rehabilitation, education and alternative jobs like sewing, training to women there.

c) This is as per Indian principle - Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitah.

This petition is filed in good faith under Article 19 of UDHR for moral policy discussion.
