Save Frodsham Leisure Centre
The Issue
In their recent consultation document "Shaping the Future", Brio Leisure and Cheshire West & Chester, state that, "Frodsham Leisure Centre is not fit for purpose". I would argue, with your valued support, that the present facilities match my requirements perfectly, and I hope that you would agree, that they match yours to. Please sign my petition, if you disagree with their statement, and help to protect these much needed, local facilities. They claim that they want to "move away from a service offer which is solely building based", but I would question how this is possible! I suspect that they intend to sell this public asset, to a developer, and that will be the end of the matter. We will never get these facilities back again! It would be far better if they invest some capital now, into the existing infrastructure and make the buildings an asset that we can all be proud of. Particularly at this time of the Covid flu pandemic, there has never been a greater need for good leisure facilities (when we allowed to use them!), and I would suggest that they are are not acting in the best interests of the people of the area, if they are allowed to get away with this proposal.
Thank you for signing. - Adrian Reese
