Call to Action – Support Positive Northern Nevada Growth – We Need You! PLEASE SHARE! Dear Friends, We are almost there and again, I can’t thank you enough for the support, however there is still more you can do! I am hoping to get one more strong push from you to send our message to County Commission that we want to see the Ascente’ project get approved. We need HUGE community support in the room and here are the details if you would like to show up in support: Who: Ascente’ Development vs. NIMBY Opposition What: Opposition appeal in front of Washoe County Commissioners When: Tuesday, August 8th 1:15 pm Where: Washoe County Campus 1001 E 9th St. Reno, NV 89502 Commission Chambers, Building “A” Why: To win County Commission approval to overturn appeal and move forward with development The project will probably go in front of our Commissioners around 2:00pm (but subject to change) so I am asking everyone to meet between 1:15pm and 1:30pm at Juke Box Java located in building “B” on the Washoe County Building campus where we will have coffee and snacks waiting and can give final instructions and finalize roles and speaking topics (for those who have been asked to speak). We are asking everyone to wear white in support (even if it’s just a white shirt) so that the commissioners can see who is in support of this project. Please feel free to bring anyone who is in support. We are looking to balance the room with those who support housing. The more the merrier. If you are unable to attend, please consider supporting by doing one or all of the following: • Write a short sweet email addressed to all of our County Commissioners with "I SUPPORT THE ASCENTE' DEVELOPMENT AUG. 8TH" in the subject line with your reasons why you support growth and the Ascente' project.
