Summer is fast approaching and it's looking like the same bare minimum program will be run YET AGAIN. No tournaments. No scrimmages. No team bonding. No fundraising. Just conditioning with a very small group of student athletes. Not a memorable experience for kids like my son.

From what I understand some advocates have received a generic response from constituent services. They claim that Coach Lopez can reinstate her program by going through Civic Center to reserve the pool.  It's not that easy of a fix. This was attempted in October of 2021. The former FHS administration with the current coaches, created a "school sponsored" program so they could claim that Coach Lopez was conflicting with FHS's team. All documented. For obvious reasons Coach Lopez doesn't want to take that risk again.  Until there is proper resolution her program will not be going back to FHS. My email to the FUSD board and Principal Smith was sent about three weeks ago. No response, even with multiple follow ups. Ignoring will not keep advocates from seeking correction.  Repeat - ignoring will not stop our advocating for this program. Ours children deserve to take priority. Period.
