UPDATE # 44: Nikita Dhawan, Founder of Youth for Animals, interviews Chris Lewis the Captivity Research Officer at the Born Free Foundation who focuses on captive wild animal welfare and legislation in the UK. Chris has been instrumental in the publication of BFF’s recent report, "Legacy of Shame” highlighting the plight of zoo elephants. Shankar too suffers in the hands of the Delhi Zoo and understanding his situation from a scientific point of view is important in bringing about a change to his life.
