UPDATE #23

Hello,

On behalf of the entire team and Shankar, we would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. More than 161,000 people have already signed the petition worldwide. We remain hopeful and continue to demand #FreeShankar.

Please continue to share the petition with others using this link Change.org/FreeShankarDelhiZoo- the sooner we reach 200,000 signatures the sooner we will be heard.

We also wanted to share some news with you. On March 9, a crucial hearing for Shankar was scheduled to take place, where a decision was to be made about Shankar's future.

But due to unforeseen circumstances, the Delhi High Court could not meet on that date and a new date will be announced soon. We are disappointed but we know that the legal process is a test of patience and resilience!

#FreeShankar We will not give up! So there is still time to mobilize and make our voices heard for Shankar's release.

Share the petition and the link Change.org/FreeShankarDelhiZoo as well as the hashtag #FreeShankarDelhiZoo and #FreeShankar

Many thanks,
Nikita Dhawan and Nandika Karunakaram
(On behalf of Youth For Animals)
