UPDATE #24: Nikita Dhawan, Founder of "Youth for Animals" and petitioner for #FreeShankarDelhiZoo in the Delhi High Court, presented the details of the Shankar Campaign at FIAPO's "India for Animals" Conference on Jan 30, 2022. She  shared what drives her to work in this space, how/why she built the platform, the message she’d like to give to her peers, how she gathered support from various organisations and influencers and her future plans with respect to the Shankar campaign.

FIAPO's  India for Animals (IFA) conference brings together grassroots activists, industry experts, practitioners, philanthropists, influencers, and Animal Protection NGOs across the country. India for Animals 2022 was a virtual conference, held on 29-30 January 2022. With an estimated participation of 1,000 – including, for the first time, youth animal rights activists – it is one of the biggest conferences in India for animal protection.
