Thank you to everyone who came out to the township committee meeting tonight. Due to the number of emails and phone calls the township administrator received the ordinance was tabled for now. There will be two public information sessions on December 14th- one at 2pm and one at 6pm. This is when we can ask questions and bring ideas to the committee for other uses for the land.

The ordinance as written is now scrapped and the process will restart. We must show up on December 14th!

As the lot is owned by St. Robert’s the two committee members who are parishioners must recuse themselves. The land was previously brought before the zoning board (years ago) for rezoning as a cemetery, but the township denied that rezoning.According to a number of people who reached out to me, the land is being sold to fund upgrades to parish buildings. The planned sale is to Renaissance Properties; they plan to build 21-25 homes similar in price and style to College Park.

I will continue to share information and resources. I encourage anyone with concerns to email the mayor and the committee. There is no reason for this land to be developed into more single family homes.
