We, the undersigned individuals and organizations, call on the Jordanian authorities to immediately release Dr. Omar Emile Awad (member of the Political Bureau) and Bahaa Alayan (member of the Youth Leadership) of the Jordanian Communist Party.

More than 65 days have passed since their abrupt detention, which has taken place without any legal jurisdiction and through a highly opaque process aimed solely at silencing the patriotic left-wing voice in the country that was campaigning in solidarity with Palestine.

We call on all international organizations to raise this issue in all international bodies, and we urge the Jordanian government to grant their immediate release.

نحن الموقعون أدناه، أفرادًا وهيئات، نطالب السلطات الأردنية بالإفراج الفوري عن الدكتور عمر إميل عواد (عضو المكتب السياسي) وبهاء عليّان (عضو القيادة الشبابية) في الحزب الشيوعي الأردني.

لقد مضى أكثر من 65 يومًا على اعتقالهما المفاجئ، دون أي سند قانوني، وبطريقة غير شفافة تهدف فقط إلى إسكات الصوت الوطني اليساري في البلاد، الذي كان يقوم بحملات تضامن مع فلسطين.

نناشد جميع المنظمات الدولية رفع هذه القضية في جميع المحافل الدولية، ونطالب الحكومة الأردنية بالإفراج الفوري عنهما.
