FREE THE OCKLAWAHA RIVER BY THE BREACHING OF RODMAN DAM
Mar 18, 2022

HELP WANTED!
You sincere Ocklawaha River restoration supporter activists out there!
Please consider contacting the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) using their form to ask them this question: "FDEP received the results of the 'Rodman Reservoir / Kirkpatrick Dam Comment Form' at the end of 2021 from the St. Johns River Water Management District. What does FDEP plan on doing with these survey results and what is next for the Ocklawaha River restoration issue?"

http://floridadep.customer-survey.sgizmo.com/s3/

It is absolutely FREE to use the FDEP form (link above) to ask questions -- but remember that what you write becomes a public record!

And please let the rest of us know what you hear as feedback from FDEP!

There is a difference between "Ocklawahaman" Paul Nosca ("FREE THE OCKLAWAHA RIVER BY THE BREACHING OF RODMAN DAM") and most all of the other Ocklawaha River restoration entities out there. I don't accept, ask for, need, require, seek, solicit, or want YOUR $$$ MONEY in any way, shape, or form for my conservation work on behalf of the Ocklawaha River and other natural, unique locations or fish and wildlife issues in the Great State of Florida. And when I post informational data about the Rodman Reservoir vs. Ocklawaha River issue, I seriously strive to present accurate information in proper English that is documented by written scholarly literature or government reports or mainstream news media so that it will hold up to the scrutiny of serious reviewers. I do not enjoy reading and viewing inaccurate "sugar-coated" data regarding this Ocklawaha River restoration topic that is broadcast mostly for fundraising purposes by the "not-for-profit" groups!

Waste YOUR money if you want to by donating to those "non-profit" groups -- BUT 4,144 documented individual names have supported this online petition and they added their names to it FOR-FREE-$$$!

We, the undersigned persons being registered voters and/or real property owners of the state of Florida do hereby respectfully petition the SJRWMD and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FL DEP) to earnestly begin, move forward with, and finally carry out the process of restoring to free-and-swift-flowing-again the Ocklawaha River -- "Source to the Sea" -- from its Silver Springs supreme headwaters to its St. Johns River estuary. This restoration process would require the breaching of the earthen Kirkpatrick (Rodman) Dam at the location where the historic Ocklawaha River channel flowed through it prior to September 30, 1968.

NOTE: My contact work with the SJRWMD & FDEP since June 2016 AND THIS ONLINE PETITION WAS THE CATALYST that resulted in the SJRWMD "Rodman Reservoir / Kirkpatrick Dam Comment Form" that we all responded to back in September and October of 2021. The process going forward now depends on FDEP who has received the results from SJRWMD.
