The Issue

Scotty Merson has been incarcerated for 35 years in the State of Florida for a crime he did not commit. His wrongful imprisonment has deprived him of his freedom, future, and robbed him of his life experiences and opportunities. It's time for justice to be served. I made this petition to speak on my mothers behalf for Scotty. She was one of his alibi’s that night and he was with her at the time this crime happened. Multiple other people are still speaking out about having knowledge of his innocence to this day.

Wrongful convictions are, unfortunately, not uncommon. According to the National Registry of Exonerations, over 2,800 people have been exonerated in the United States, with tens of thousands of others potentially still wrongfully incarcerated. Scotty's case reflects the critical need for thorough and fair case reviews to prevent these miscarriages of justice.

This petition seeks a comprehensive review of Scotty Merson's case by the judicial authorities in Florida, urging them to take another look at his case and ultimately release Scotty from his unjust imprisonment.

Please join us in advocating for justice by signing this petition. It's time to right the wrong and give Scotty Merson a chance to live the life he was unjustly denied. Your signature can make a difference, so please add your voice to ours today. Go take a look at “Scotty Merson Live Testimony” on YouTube where he shares part of his story. Every share, every comment, and every like, could help. Scotty Merson Live Testimony
